East Farleigh wins Kent Village of the Year 2010 Environment Award

This year the Kent Village of the Year competition, organised by Action with Communities in Rural Kent, was based on projects grouped into four categories:

   Social & Community
   The Environment
   Transport
   The Economy

FLAG entered the Forge Lane Footpath project into both the Transport and The Environment groups. There were 16 entrants into each of these groups, but despite the strong competition....

East Farleigh won the Environment Award and came joint runners up on the Transport Award!

FLAG will send the £250 award on improving signage or other improvements to the path over the coming months.

The awards were sponsored by Kent County Council, Kent County Agricutural Society and Shepherd Neame.
